You Already Know

The work is not to become someone new. It is to remember.

Good morning,

As a top performer you've spent years learning how to get more out of yourself. Another book, another seminar, a new system, another commitment.

In the beginning it works. More knowledge before experience helps make us better. Over time, though, knowing more is no longer the constraint.

The best version of you is not waiting inside another book. You've already experienced it.

Think about the moments when you led with complete clarity. When you stayed calm under pressure. When you made the difficult decision and knew it was right. When you were completely present with the person in front of you.

That person wasn't something you were trying to become. It was you. Above the noise, the patterns, the pressure and the need to perform, that person is already there.

The work is not to become someone new. It is to remember who you are at your best, then create the conditions for that version of you to show up more often.

Think back to a moment when you felt genuinely proud of something you accomplished. Not what others thought of it. Remember how you felt. How you carried yourself. How you thought. How you responded. Sit there for a moment.

Now. Close your computer. Put down your phone. Close your eyes and take one slow breath in. Exhale.

There you are.
